The UK’s first electric aircraft charging point has been installed at the East Anglian airfield, courtesy of NUNCATS – a community Interest Company (CIC) that aims to provide a dependable lifeline for some of the world’s most remote communities via electrical light aircraft. This unit, installed by renewable energy developer Renenergy for NUNCATS (which stands for No Unnecessary Novelty, Community Air Transport Systems), is not only the inaugural electric plant port in the country, but is also Europe’s first solar-powered electric aircraft charging point thanks to the 33 Q.PEAK DUO L-G8 Qcells solar modules installed on top of the hangar.

Lighting children

09.01.2018

‘Lighting children’ is an eco-friendly campaign for supporting children who live in countries of energy shortage. This campaign was organized by Miral Welfare Foundation (Miral) that is a nonprofit which was founded with the vision of social inclusion for the most vulnerable groups, especially persons with disabilities. Employees of Hanwha Qcells participated in the campaign and made solar lanterns together to send those lanterns to children who need support of lighting equipment for daily life. Hanwha Qcells hopes that this campaign paves the way for those children to study well, and also save fuel costs. This eco-friendly lanterns would raise global awareness on the positive impact of solar energy.

Solar panels donated to Davos

31.10.2016

The World Economic Forum, held annually in Davos, Switzerland, addresses pressing issues facing the world, such as environmental sustainability. The solar modules donated by Hanwha Qcells to the City of Davos at the World Economic Forum Congress Center have a capacity of 340KW. This amount of energy is enough to reduce 20 tons of CO₂ emissions per year. Our donation showcases the possibilities of clean, sustainable energy.
